Terms of Use

Welcome to the R1Tech Insurance website and merchant portal (“Platform”). The Platform is operated under the R1Tech brand and is intended to provide information, quotation assistance and digital facilitation for vehicle, travel and health insurance products, subject to applicable law and the terms of the relevant insurer or authorised insurance partner.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

2. Eligibility and accurate information

You must provide truthful, complete and current information. Vehicle registration details, policy history, customer identity, contact details and other proposal information must be supplied with the customer's knowledge and consent. R1Tech may restrict or suspend access where information appears inaccurate, fraudulent, unlawful or inconsistent with applicable requirements.

3. Insurance products

Insurance products are subject to insurer availability, eligibility, underwriting, exclusions, deductibles, add-ons, policy conditions and regulatory requirements. R1Tech does not replace the policy document or the insurer's terms. Customers should review the proposal and policy wording before purchase.

4. Merchant portal

Merchant users are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and for activities performed through their account. Portal access is provided for legitimate insurance assistance and quotation activities. Sharing credentials, attempting unauthorised access, manipulating transactions or using the Platform for fraudulent purposes is prohibited.

5. Payments

Payment options displayed on the Platform may include UPI, cards, net banking and merchant wallet balance. A payment confirmation generated by the Platform does not by itself constitute policy issuance; issuance remains subject to successful insurer processing and applicable requirements. Payment records may be retained for reconciliation, support, compliance and audit purposes.

6. Intellectual property and acceptable use

R1Tech branding, interface design, text, graphics, animations and other Platform material are protected to the extent applicable. You must not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the Platform or its content.

7. Limitation and force majeure

To the extent permitted by law, R1Tech will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including insurer or service-provider outages, telecommunications failures, payment-network disruptions, maintenance, government directions or other events outside R1Tech's control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes and governing law

R1Tech may update these Terms to reflect operational, legal or regulatory changes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in India, subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information R1Tech may collect and how such information may be used when you visit the website, submit an enquiry, use the merchant portal or proceed with an insurance quotation.

Information we may collect

• Name, mobile number, email address and communication details.
• Vehicle registration number, make/model, fuel type, registration details and insurance-policy information when required for a vehicle quotation.
• Travel destination, travel dates and traveller information when required for travel insurance.
• Health-insurance proposal information only to the extent necessary for the requested product and subject to applicable consent and regulatory requirements.
• Payment, transaction reference and reconciliation information where a payment is initiated.
• Technical information such as browser, device, IP address, cookies and basic usage data for security, analytics and service improvement.

How information may be used

Information may be used to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, facilitate proposal and policy journeys, process or reconcile payments, provide customer support, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain records, improve the Platform and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Sharing and service providers

Where necessary, information may be shared with the relevant insurer or authorised insurance partner, payment service provider, technology/service provider, customer-support provider or competent authority, only for legitimate business, service, security or compliance purposes and subject to applicable law.

Consent and customer responsibility

Before submitting another person's information, the merchant or user should have the appropriate authority or consent to provide it. Customers should not submit unnecessary sensitive information through general enquiry forms. Information required for an insurance proposal may be subject to additional notices and consent requirements.

Security and retention

R1Tech uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purposes, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, audit and applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

Your requests

Subject to applicable law, you may contact R1Tech to ask about your personal information, request correction of inaccurate information or raise a privacy concern. Certain information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate records.

Refunds & Cancellation Policy

R1Tech aims to provide a clear and traceable payment experience. Refunds, cancellations, policy reversals and premium adjustments are ultimately governed by the applicable insurer's product rules, policy wording, proposal status and applicable law.

Before policy issuance

If a customer changes their mind before successful policy issuance, the request may be reviewed for cancellation or refund according to the applicable payment and insurer process. A payment being successful does not automatically guarantee a refund.

After policy issuance

Once a policy has been issued, cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the relevant insurer, product, policy period, statutory/free-look rights where applicable, claims status and policy terms. Any eligible refund is processed according to the applicable insurer/payment process.

Failed, duplicate or excess payments

If a payment is debited but the transaction is not successfully completed, or if a duplicate/excess debit is identified, R1Tech may assist with reconciliation. Refund timing depends on the payment service provider, bank and/or insurer and may vary by transaction.

How to request help

Share the transaction/payment reference, customer name, registered mobile number and relevant policy/proposal reference with R1Tech support. Do not email full card numbers, CVV, passwords, OTPs or other payment credentials.

Insurance & Website Disclaimer

Insurance is a contract between the customer and the relevant insurer. Product availability, premium, IDV, coverage, exclusions, deductibles, add-ons, claim decisions and policy issuance are subject to the insurer's underwriting rules and the final policy documents.

Information, plan names, prices, benefits, garage counts and other illustrations displayed in a demonstration or quotation interface may change and should not be treated as a binding offer unless confirmed through the authorised insurer process. Any sample or demo payment shown in a non-production environment is illustrative.

R1Tech may use third-party technology, payment infrastructure and authorised service providers to facilitate the digital journey. Their respective terms may also apply to the relevant service.
